RTG gets the green light for the Hi Viz Police Traffic Jacket
South West based RTG, a world-wide specialist in textile and contract manufacturing, has launched a new high visibility 3-in-1 jacket specifically developed, designed and manufactured for police traffic officers across the country.
The move comes shortly after Bobbies on the beat ditched their traditional white polycotton shirts in favour of RTG’s high performance, antibacterial Coolskyn Plus polo shirt which successfully banishes odours from the frontline as well as wicking away sweat.

Machine washable, the ¾ length jacket is available in sizes small to 5XL and incorporates a new addition to the Skyns range in the form of a Double Band Brightlyte Retro Reflective Tape fitted around the torso, arms and shoulders. Brandishing elasticised, Velcro cuff fastenings, the ‘want-to-wear’ yet practical design incorporates vital Radio and Epaulette loops, an extra band of reflectivity, encapsulated reflective Police badges, various pockets for documents, maps, pens and mobiles, a removable two way zip in addition to fleece and/or soft shell lining options.
"All our garments are designed and manufactured in-house to keep costs low and quality high," says Marcus Aldred, Director ,"This new jacket has been introduced as a direct result of customer demand to ensure maximum conspicuity and comfort for traffic officers so they can safely manage incidents on the road, whatever the weather," he adds.
