ethical policy
RTG never compromise on quality or ethics and our work is always transparent. It's vital that customers know where their products are made and in what conditions. The reputation of their brands depends on it. Delivering Quality through our commitment to provide the right working environment, RTG understands that it is a world leader and must lead at all levels of manufacturing, including social responsibility.
RTG employs over 500 people in its Chinese factories led by a skilled management team committed to fair working practices and workers' welfare. They support an active health and safety committee and promote excellent business standards to ensure a programme of continual improvement.
Many of our long-term customers regularly visit the factories. We think it's the best way of reassuring them about quality and ethical standards concerning employment, wages, child labour, working conditions, working hours and health and safety.
RTG also provides environmental, organic, fair trade and recycled clothing and merchandise options for ethically minded companies
OUR POLICY
Because the bulk of RTG manufacturing goes through RTG owned factories we have been able to set the highest standards both in the quality of our product and the working environment.
We can ensure the provision of fair wages and working hours, safe/hygienic working conditions, regular employment and no discrimination or harsh/inhumane treatment of employees.
We also recognise that our business activities can affect the natural environment. We aim, through continuous improvement, to minimise these adverse effects, whilst safeguarding the health and safety of our employees and the public
OUR ETHICAL TRADING STANDARDS
The standards that RTG set are the same as set out by the Ethical Trading Initiative. We acknowledge that we may not be able to achieve all of these targets all of the time but we are continuously working towards this goal. We also understand that for many of our partners this is a long term commitment to change for the better and we are actively involved in raising standards.
We believe that you can only have the best quality product from suppliers that work to the highest standards of production and employment.
