Our factories
RTG Global is based in Plymouth and has been trading out of China for 20 years. Specialist partners complement direct ownership of our manufacturing capacity. This ensures that consistent high level of service and quality are delivered worldwide.
The benefits of owning two factories in China are vast. It gives us flexibility that buyers are looking for, facilitates quick decisions and enables production to move up the schedule for urgent orders. It also enables us to produce accurate samples quickly.
The factory incorporates a new knitting facility where we can make our own fabrics and produce garments all under one roof - providing a vertical operation with control over every aspect of production.
Lanxi City: Our New Factory
Completed in 2007 this nine acre site provides the capacity to produce over 12 million garments a year. With over30,000 sq ft, it gives us the space required for more complex assignments.
Quality Control
Permanent UK quality control personnel are based in China. Our Chinese counterparts also come to the UK to see products in use to gain a greater understanding of why it is important to get the detail and finish right.
Lanxi
"A lot of thought went into the building and landscaping from a workforce and production perspective," says Andy Drake, Director, "We did a lot of research and visited many Chinese factories to incorporate the best aspects of what we saw into our own design".
Workers can enjoy a range of facilities that include basketball and tennis courts, reading and Mahjong rooms, table tennis, the provision of free papers, quiet retreats, a canteen and private dining rooms. An on-site supermarket is subsidised by RTG and, a rarity in China, the provision of hot and private showers. For workers that don't live locally we provide accommodation that houses 220 people.
